Reporting to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) department, the position holder provides advisory services in OHS and is involved in prevention, support, and training. They act as an ambassador and contribute to the development and maintenance of the OHS culture within APQ

Responsabilities

  • Conduct risk analyses;
  • Design and deliver training sessions or short safety briefings;
  • Participate as an expert in the local OHS committee, conduct workplace inspections carried out by the committee, and propose solutions that comply with legislation for non-conformities;
  • Ensure a regular presence on site;
  • Report changes or anomalies in the area and propose corrective actions;
  • Plan and conduct inspections and maintenance of OHS equipment;
  • Act as a specialist in the execution of confined space entry permits, lockout/tagout procedures, and hot work;
  • Conduct investigations in the event of accidents and near-misses;
  • Create prevention tools to facilitate the management of OHS in the workplace;
  • Conduct OHS orientation for new APQ employees;
  • Maintain and implement programs and procedures of the OHS management system (OHSMS);
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Daily

  • Act as a resource person for health and safety for APQ employees and managers;
  • Ensure that work complies with established safe work rules, methods, and procedures;
  • Participate in the implementation and compliance with OHS laws, regulations, and policies (under federal jurisdiction).

Qualifications

Formations

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Experience

1 to 3 years of experience in similar roles
