Reporting to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Manager, the incumbent plays an advisory role in OHS matters and is involved in prevention, coaching and training. He/she contributes to the development and maintenance of the OHS culture within the QPA.
Responsabilities
Participate in the application and enforcement of OHS laws, regulations, and policies (under federal jurisdiction);
Act as a resource person for APQ employees and managers;
Ensure a daily presence in the field;
Report changes or anomalies in the territory that could have an impact on workers OHS, and propose corrective measures;
Ensure that certain work complies with established safe work rules, methods, and procedures;
Participate as an expert on the local OHS committee, conduct workplace inspections carried out by the committee, and propose solutions to non-conformities in compliance with legislation;
Maintain and implement OHS management system (OHSMS) programs and procedures;
Act as a specialist in performing risk analysis, confined space entry and lockout;
Investigate accidents and near misses;
Provide training or safety minutes;
Create prevention tools to facilitate OHS management in the workplace;
Provide OHS orientation for new APQ employees;
Carry out all other related tasks.

Qualifications
Formations
•Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with specialization in occupational health and safety;
Experience
•Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position;
